Postby kim2486 » Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:55 pm

hi all,
well where to start okay its nearly 12months since all this began, i started with lumps in my neck and groin i was sent to hosp for tests in the meantime i lost a total of 5 stone in weight over an 8 week period, i am now on a weight gain program to try and maintain the weight at 8st 1lb if i do not conitune to eat 4000 calories a day i lose weight at around 2lb a day. i have severe night sweats, easy bruising with no trauma i have no energy at all i could sleep all day and night and still be tired i have had now 2 open biopsies and countless appointments and am no nearer finding out what is wrong with me, they said leaukemia then said lymphoma then they just said im a mystery i go back now every 3 months for checkups and my next one will be to decide if another biopsy is needed, i have swollen lymph nodes allover my body and more keep appearing. so if anyone has any experience with any issues of this kind please do post a response

thanks

Hi Kim
I can't believe you still don't have any answers.
Can't remember if I told you yhat I had e-mailed the Assistant First Minister for Scotland who is responsible for Health & Wellbeing might I suggest you do the same to the health minister in England you should be able to get an e-mail address for his/her office on the House of Commons web site as I know you ave been down the road of hospital complaints dept.
Now's the time to go to the top of the house they have kept you dangling on the end of the string too too long.

Or even one of the national newspapers

hi cluckie

thanks for your reply, i am hoping if they want to remove another they will not do my groin again they have not yet done my armpit i may suggest it, what did the minister have to say? i am going to see what they want to do next it will be 12 months in jan since my first appointment and nearly 18 months since the first lump, they are saying whilst my weight is staying put i am not a high risk i am awaiting the results of the 2nd and 3rd opinions of the CT scan results i really dont know what else to do now seems i am a mystery and i think i cannot push them much further for fear of looking psychotic, i am trying to continue on ahead as normal this big mess has taken up so much of my life already this could go on forever more.

how are you anyway? hope your keeping well, il email u later working thursday friday so 5 am starts and mum is up from reading at weekend for josh's birthday so i dont seem to sit still lately, your all never far from my thoughts but as soon as i sit down im asleep

speak soon

Hi Kim
I forwarded a copy of the e-mail to minister to the complaints dept that done the trick.
I got a letter from them saying they would look into my complaint and if there was anything they could do in the meantime just phone so next time MO was being admitted to hospital I phoned and by the time I got there MO was in bed in a ward (side room ) so they can do it when the pressure is put on them
